Write the job you'd want to be graded against in three lines, and attach proof from the last 12 months to each one. Then find out which line wouldn't survive the room.
Nothing you type leaves your browser.
Line 1 of 3
What are you deep in?
The part of the discipline you could be questioned on for an hour without reaching for a deck.
Line 2 of 3
What can you say in the room's units?
A number you personally produced that a CFO then used.
The room's units are the measures finance already runs the business on: revenue, margin, cash, cost to acquire a customer, payback. Used means it changed a decision.
Line 3 of 3
What have you built with your own hands this year?
Literally built: a model, a dashboard somebody else now runs on, a small AI agent you set up yourself.
Built means you made it. A thing your team or an agency made for you belongs to them.
Your spec
Hand this to someone who'd have to defend hiring you. Which line do they cut?
If you won't actually hand it over, and most people won't, answer with the line you think they'd cut. The one you'd least like to show anyone is usually the answer.
Line one
What I'm deep in
Line two
What I can say in the room's units
Line three
What I've built myself
None of them
All three would survive
What the cut tells you
